1 Go; we shall rejoice to the Lord;
We shall acclaim the Rock of our salvation.
2 We shall proceed before the Lord in thanks;
In songs we shall acclaim the Lord:
3 For a great God is the Lord—
A great Sovereign above all supremacies;
4 For in the hand of the Lord are
The knowledges of Earth,
And the elevations of the mountains
Belong to the Lord;
5 For the Lord’s is the sea, for the Lord made it,
And the dry land did the Lord’s hands form.
6 Come: we shall prostrate, and we shall kneel;
We shall bend the knee before the Lord our Maker:
7 For the Lord is our God,
And we are the nation of the Lord’s shepherding,
And the sheep of the Lord’s hand.
Today—if to the Lord’s voice you listen:
8 “Do not harden your hearts like in Merivah,
Like in the time of tribulation in the wilderness:
9 When I was on trial before your ancestors,
They examined Me but still saw My works.
10 Forty years I grieved a generation,
And I said, ‘A nation of deviant hearts are they—
They do not know My ways.’
11 I swore to Myself before My countenance,
That they would never come to My rest.”
